Recently, the launching meeting of the major project of the National Natural Science Foundation "Modeling and Applied Research of Complex System of Climate Economy" was held at the Beijing Institute of Technology in a combination of online and offline。

Hou Zengqian, member of Party Group and Deputy Director of the National Natural Science Foundation of China，Academician Long Teng, President of Beijing Institute of Technology，Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Vice President Professor Wei Yiming, Professor Wang Bo，Liu Zuoyi, Deputy Director of the Management Science Department of the Foundation，Project guidance Expert group member，More than 30 people, including leaders of each project and staff from the three departments of Management Science, attended the ceremony。The opening ceremony was presided over by Liu Zuoyi。

Hou Zengqian introduced the establishment background, target positioning and reform measures of the major projects of the Fund Committee, and put forward requirements and opinions on the implementation of the project from the aspects of scientific problem concentration, expert guidance, resource guarantee and goal orientation, hoping that the project will make contributions to promoting the world's scientific and technological progress and serving the major needs of the country。Long Teng expressed his sincere thanks to the Foundation Committee and the participating experts for their long-term support to the university, introduced the university's importance to climate change research, and said that the university will do its best to ensure the smooth implementation of this major project。

Professor Wei Yiming, the project leader, and the project leaders made reports on the research objectives and contents, technical solutions, expected results and organizational management of the project。The academic guidance expert group carefully listened to and fully affirmed the project and subject reports, and put forward constructive guidance on the implementation of the project from multiple aspects such as interdisciplinary integration, technical program optimization, project organization and management。
